Let’s look at some important points you should consider and how to position yourself for POST-GOOGLE PENGUIN success:

1) PRE-PENGUIN: Millions of people use Google to search for solutions every single day.

2) PRE-PENGUIN: Individuals that rank (aka get their website to show up on the first page of Google) have the potential to make a lot of money.

Step back, take a deep breath, and realize that there is still an OCEAN of OPPORTUNITY in front of you. Don’t let anyone FOOL YOU into thinking SEO (search engine optimization) is dead.

1) DIVERSIFY your link building strategies: Inside of the Internet Income University “FROM START TO MONEY” training, you’ll see that our core strategy is focused on one source of links (Linkvana). This is STILL the single most effective strategy we recommend when getting started. However, as you progress and ONLY once you reach 5-10 LEADS PER DAY OR MORE, you will want to diversify your link-building strategies and add additional sources of high quality links to your arsenal. 2) DIVERSIFY your anchor text: One of our strongest recommendations moving forward is the diversification of your anchor text when building links. If you’re not familiar with the concept, your “anchor text” is the blue-clickable part of the text that actually links from one website to another.

In the past, all emphasis was placed on keyword targeted anchor text going to keyword targeted pages or posts on your website. While this is still the MOST EFFECTIVE way to build backlinks, you will want to throw in some variations to look more natural. The easiest way to explain this concept is with a quick example. Imagine a scenario in which we’re building backlinks to a recent IIU post on “Jeffrey Combs Coaching”.

Here are some different link variations we might create:

Anchor Text #1: Jeffrey Combs Coaching can be a game changer for aspiring entrepreneurs.
Anchor Text #2: Jeffrey Combs is one of the most respected coaches in direct sales.
Anchor Text #3: To learn more about the benefits of coaching with Jeffery Combs, click here.

If you were to click on each one of the links above, you would see that they all direct you to the same page on the IIU website about Jeffery Combs coaching; however, each of the 3 examples above uses a different “anchor text” as the actual link.
