    Great post Kevin!

Don't forget to mention that the long tail keyword needs to be 20k or less, when typed into google in "parenthesis".

  2. Sean Durrant says:

Thanks Kevin - Another great idea. I'll be keeping the keyword tool open when I write my next article.

What does Brandon mean by "parenthesis"?

    (I'm here to learn!)

He actually means quotations, not parenthesis...

    So for example...

Step1: Use google's free keyword tool to find keywords that have a 200-1,000 searches per month. (these usually tend to be the easiest to rank for)

Step 2: Type any phrases you find into google with quotations around the keyword phrase and then click search.

A great keyword will have less than 10,000 results. Putting the quotations around the phrase makes a HUGE difference when you are evaluating the competition
because a search with quotations will tell you how many people have that EXACT PHRASE somewhere in their webpage.

This stuff is HUGE if you are doing any article marketing or blogging to generate leads!

Hope this helps Sean, thanks for the comments!
